So, it looks like I haven't posted for quite some time. What's happened? I got laid off. Got sick. Got a new job. Still at the new job. Still producing some art. Some pieces are taking me a while longer to complete than I would have liked. But I'm also spending time with friends, playing games, camping, and doing a bit of bike riding. I've started riding fondos - think marathons only for cyclists. They usually have 400-500 riders and usually the distance is about 100 miles or so. I've completed 6 so far. I can tell you a few things - I rode through the Canadian Rockies and it was gorgeous - almost makes me wish that I were painting mountains

Got a little pay raise to go with it and I'm doing the same job I've been doing since moving to the new department in April. 3) Just back this week from my European vacation. It was great as usual. I love that part of the world. 4) Major cool points for me taking on the criminal element in Paris. I stopped a thief

Well, interesting events through the first 5 months of the year. 1) I have discovered no new non-stereotypes. 2) I haven't been able to speak with "choir girl" again. 3) I haven't painted as much as I like - I have a couple things going but a dramatic mistake really zapped my enthusiasm and I have to get back into it. But it's more difficult now since it's cycling season. 4) I have started a new drawing I plan to call "The Lion of Venice" and I really want to work on it, but . . . 5) I did sell my first to art prints to a co-worker. That does have to count for some cool points, right? 6) There were layoffs at work back in April, so I
